A Fight to the Final Round: O’Grady Wins the 2026 GB4 Championship
The second race at Brands Hatch saw Fred Green take the win but O’Grady took the drivers’ championship with one race to spare.
On pole for the second race was Fred Green with Thomas Ingram Hill starting alongside him on the front row. Prior to the race start a fluid leak came out of the Douglas Motorsport’s car of Dayton Coulthard and his teammate Conor Grant was also out of the race on the formation lap.
The cars line up for the race start and a good start from Fred Green as Alex O’Grady moves up to a championship winning position, getting in front of Ingram Hill for second place. Further down the grid, Demitri Nolan made up a few positions from 16th into 12th. Going wide into the last corner was the Pace Performance of Torrin Byrne, trying to re-find the grip after his tyres were covered by the powder laid down on track.
A track limits warning came from race control for Solenn Amrouche, Faris Organji and Demitri Nolan. Amrouche was handed a 5 second time penalty for track limits. There was contact between Lily May Watkins and Jordyn Martin and off into the gravel went Watkins at Sheene Curve.
Crossing the line with another race victory was Fred Green but O’Grady crossed the line second and became the 2026 GB4 champion, an incredible season for the Irish driver bringing the championship to KMR Sport. Rounding off the podium was Thomas Ingram Hill.
