Highlights

The 2025 Season was a challenging but eventful year for Alpine. The team introduced a new blue and pink livery and showed improved reliability compared to the previous year. While Pierre Gasly led the squad by scoring all 22 championship points, mid-season driver changes and continued development underlined that 2025 was a transition year, with Alpine focusing on rebuilding and preparing for future success.

Struggles

Alpine's main struggles include a lack of overall pace, which kept the team stuck in the midfield and inconsistent performances from weekend to weekend. Additionally, reliability issues, strategy mistakes, and management issues made it difficult for the team to take home points regularly.

Statistics

In the 2025 Formula 1 season, Alpine scored a total of 22 championship points, all of which were earned by Pierre Gasly. Jack Doohan and Franco Colapinto failed to score any points, leaving Alpine to finish 10th in the Constructors’ Championship.

Big news

One of the biggest stories of Alpine’s 2025 Formula 1 season was the retirement of Oliver Oaks as team principal, who was then replaced by Flavio Briatore. Briatore wasted no time swapping rookie Jack Doohan for 2024’s replacement of Logan Sargeant and, at the time, reserve driver for Alpine, Franco Colapinto. However, it was not yet clear if Franco would be the permanent replacement; talks about signing Paul Aron for the remainder of the 2025 season or the upcoming 2026 season were on. In the end, the team have stuck with their current duo, looking ahead to 2026 and the new regulations.

Pierre Gasly

Pierre Gasly has been Alpine‘s key driver since 2023. He takes on the role of team leader and delivers the team's strongest performances. With his experience and consistency, he scored all of Alpine’s Points this season and played a crucial role in guiding the team through a challenging season. He has extended his contract until 2028.

Jack Doohan, Franco Colapino

The second Alpine driver for the opening races was rookie Jack Doohan, who was replaced after five rounds by Argentine driver Franco Colapinto, as Doohan’s results fell short of expectations and the team wanted to respond quickly in the fight for points. However, Franco did not do much better, crashing out of Qualifying in his first race weekend with the team. He was missing the attractive skills he showed at Williams, daring moves and pure raw talent. Looking ahead to 2026, a better car could massively improve his stats.

The 2025 season was a challenging and transitional campaign for Alpine. Despite introducing a new car and fresh blue-pink livery, the Team struggled with overall pace and consistency, which kept them at the back of the midfield. Overall, 2025 serves as a rebuilding season for Alpine with the focus shifting towards long-term development and future competitiveness.
