After an exciting week with Indy500, the IndyCar series will be taking on the Detroit Street Circuit for the 37th time. Here is everything you need to know.

Last week the iconic Indy500 took place. It was the Swedish, Felix Rosenqvist who came out on top after having overtaken David Malukas on the very last lap, making it the closest win in the race's history by 0.0233 seconds.
Located in Downtown Detroit, Michigan, the 2.647 km long circuit will be hosting the 8th round of the 2026 IndyCar series from the 29th - 31st of May.
It will be the 4th street circuit so far this season. With its 9 turns and a mix of slow and high-speed corners, the circuit features plenty of action and passing opportunities.
Some key places on the track is the Jefferson Avenue straightaway. It's the longest straight-away on any IndyCar street circuit, with its 1,13 km long stretch. At the end of the straight, you’ll reach another key place, on the track. The Turn 3 Hairpin, a prime passing zone, where drivers often go side-by-side.
Drivers To Look For:
David Malukas is a driver to look for this weekend. The runner-up at Indy500, had a very strong race, finishing under half a second behind the winner Felix Rosenqvist. Known for his great car control and performances at technical and unforgiving tracks, like Detroit Street Circuit.
Kyle Kirkwood is another driver to look for. He was the winner on this track last year and he is very often strong on street circuits.
The driver to look for is Will Power, as he will be looking to find some redemption after having finished 29th at the Indy500 as well as being known for his strong performances at street circuits.
