VRD Racing’s Nikita Bedrin takes his fourth race victory at the Hungaroring for Round 8 of the 2026 GB3 Championship.

Starting on pole for Round 8 at the Hungaroring was Nikita Bedrin alongside Hitech TGR’s Deagan Fairclough. Lights went green for Round 8 and an excellent start for Fairclough who took the race lead into the first corner. There was a crash between two drivers slightly further back on the grid, the Hillspeed of Peter Bouzinelos and the Hitech of Jacob Micallef.
Yellow flags were waved for the incident at the opening corner involving the Hitech, Hillspeed and the Xcel Motorsport of Rowan Campbell-Piling which led to the deployment of a safety car.
Fairclough’s car started to slow down and then came to a standstill on track, his fourth retirement of the year and his second retirement from the race lead. Now Nikita Bedrin is the race leader once again, with Martin Molnár and Maxim Rehm behind him. It is just the case of when the restart will occur with the grid having been neutralised under the safety car.
They go back to green flag racing and an excellent restart from Bedrin. Wheel by wheel went Gonzalez on Baptista and the move was made. What an overtake made by Patricio Gonzalez on Flynn Jackes.
Maxim Rehm manages to get ahead of his teammate Martin Molnár into the opening corner. Another switch between the two Rodin’s after Maxim Rehm slightly slowed down, losing position to Molnár and Fluxá. Rehm pulled over to one side, the driver second in the championship retiring from the race.
The race lead between Bedrin and Molnár stays at 2.7s with 5 minutes of racing left.
Crossing the line in first was VRD Racing’s Nikita Bedrin taking a fourth GB3 race victory, in second came home hero Martin Molnár. Rounding off the podium was Xcel Motorsports Lucas Fluxá.
