Everything To Play For As F3 Heads To Hungary

The track, in Hungary, that crowned last season’s Formula 3 champion, will be hosting the championship for Round 7 of the 2026 season before the summer break.

The Track

Often referred to as the "Monaco without walls", the Hungaroring is one of the most technical circuits on the calendar. 

The tight and twisty 4.381 km track features 14 corners with very few opportunities for drivers to catch their breath, making it one of the most physically demanding venues of the season.

Its narrow layout also makes overtaking very difficult, with the best passing opportunity being into Turn 1 at the end of the main straight. As a result, Friday's qualifying session will play a crucial role in shaping the weekend.

Drivers To Look For

Just one point behind championship leader Ugo Ugochukwu, Freddie Slater heads into the weekend with the momentum on his side. The British driver will be aiming to overtake his title-rival and go into the summer break leading the championship.

Théophile Naël currently sits third in the standings, 38 points behind Freddie Slater. A strong weekend would put the Frenchman in a much stronger position as he hopes to establish himself as a genuine championship contender.

Noah Strømsted is another driver hoping to be able to put his name in the hat for the championship and with his maiden F3 win at Spielberg, he will be looking to continue his strong form, despite some Spa-Francorchamps difficulties.
