With the third F1 Academy season nearly halfway complete, the drivers head to Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve in Montreal for the first time. The 14 turn, 4.361 km circuit is sure to bring an action packed weekend, with F1 academy being the support series to Formula One alongside Porsche Carrera Cup North America.

The Schedule:
The Canadian Grand Prix weekend will see an extra race added to the F1 Academy schedule due to the cancellation of Race Two previously in Miami because of the rain. The newly updated schedule will now see Free Practice and Qualifying sessions take place on the Friday, Race One and Two will take place on the Saturday and Race Three will now take place on Sunday.
There will be a wild card entry in Montreal who will start the race from the back of the grid in Race One. The top 10 drivers at the end of the first race will receive 25, 18, 15, 12, 10, 8, 6, 4, 2, and 1 points respectively.
For the start of Race Two, the grid will be set by reversing the top 8 drivers from qualifying, giving the race more action and making the opportunity to stand on the podium more accessible for all the drivers on the grid. For Race Two, the top 8 drivers will receive points from 10 points for P1 to 1 point for P8.
For Race Three the fastest qualifying lap of each driver will set the grid for Sunday, with all 3 races lasting 30 minutes plus one lap. The top ten drivers in Race Three will receive points from 25 points for P1 to 1 point for P10. In addition, two points will be given to the driver awarded pole position. One point will also be given to the driver who achieves the fastest lap in Race One and Race Three, provided she finishes in the top 10 as well as a single point to the driver who achieves the fastest lap in Race Two, provided she finishes in the top 8.
