F1 x Lego Collab

In a groundbreaking collaboration, Lego and Formula 1 have come together to give us some amazing and detailed sets.

For the first time ever, Lego has released a Lego version of every F1 team’s car featuring the 2024 liveries. Their Speed Champion sets feature cars at a 1:28 scale, whereas their Lego Technic sets are bigger, using a 1:8 scale. Sitting alongside these are the Lego Icons sets, which focus on racing legends, such as the Williams Racing FW14B & Nigel Mansell set, featuring the iconic ‘Red 5’ and a Mansell minifigure. 

Lego has also thought about the younger fans with the release of the Lego City sets that feature a Pit Stop & Pit Crew set, F1 Garage Set and a Team Truck for transporting the cars. Of course, this wouldn’t be Lego without a little surprise. In May 2025, blind boxes were released which contained 1of 12 possible F1 cars, letting fans scramble to collect them all. Even toddlers weren’t left out with the release of the Lego Duplo ‘Town F1 Team’ set that allows kids to build a podium and simple versions of the cars. 

Lego took it one step further for the 2025 Miami Grand Prix with the showcase of 10 full-sized, drivable Lego F1 cars which were made up of roughly 400,000 Lego bricks each and took over 22,000 hours to design and assemble. But of course, Lego wasn’t finished there. It has been announced that Lego has also partnered with F1 Academy to promote inclusion, with Lego Racing branding set to appear on their cars in 2026. The thrill has arrived at fan zones with the launch of the LEGO ‘Build to Thrill’ activations at several Grand Prix weekends throughout the 2025 and 2026 seasons, which lets fans build to keep their own mini F1 cars at the circuit which makes for an amazing souvenir from an already incredible weekend.
