The iconic red Ferrari has adopted some new white accents: take a peek at Ferrari’s 2026 livery!

This morning, Ferrari revealed their livery for the Formula 1 2026 season, as they unveiled their challenger for a season where regulations to the engine and car have been significantly upgraded for the first time in the last decade. With all of these new adjustments, how will Ferrari fare after a disappointing result in last year’s Championship?
With the integration of HP as their main sponsor, the Ferrari livery takes on a brand-new look for this season. Their usual full-body bed has been replaced with a chunk of white and dark blue accents, a fitting homage to both HP and IBM. Fans have had mixed responses to the livery with the new colours - some cannot come to terms with the change, whereas others believe that this could be a step forward for a team striving to be at the top once again!
An online clip highlighting the car and all its angles from Fiorano shared an explanation and description of the Ferrari livery for this year:
“One of the most distinctive features is the return to gloss paint, after seven seasons of matte finish. The 2026 Rosso Scuderia colour is brighter and more intense, with a bold, striking look inspired by the special livery seen at Monza in 2025.
“The colour also maintains continuity with the red used around the turn of the millennium, reaffirming Ferrari’s core values of passion, courage, and identity. Alongside the red, the white, historically used sparingly but distinctively, takes on a new role.”
We also publicly heard from Ferrari’s technical director, Loic Serra:
“We dedicated significant time to the concept phase to capture as much as possible of the new regulatory and technical context.
"We also had to ensure that the car's architecture would allow us enough flexibility for in-season development."
From this, we can gather that a lot of work and effort has gone into not just the rebranding of the Ferrari livery this year, but also to make sure it fits within the new standard regulations. They want to be able to deliver for their fans this year and strive to be able to continue to work on the car during the season too.
With the debut of their 2026 livery, the team goes into the pre-testing weekend in Barcelona from the 23rd to the 26th January. The Ferrari duo of Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc will go into their second season paired together. Last year, Ferrari saw one of their worst seasons to date. Lewis Hamilton, despite being a 7-time World Champion, failed to finish on the podium in a Grand Prix during the season, with the exception of one victory in a sprint race. Charles Leclerc did see some podiums, but with the car’s unreliability, it was almost impossible for Ferrari to stand a fighting chance in the championship. This year, though, the drivers appear confident in the new car and are pleased with the team’s progress. After all, a driver can sometimes only be as good as their machinery.

The Ferrari duo spoke at length to Sky Sports about their hopes for the season and their confidence in the new 2026 car. Hamilton explained his thoughts going into the season with new regulations:
“The 2026 season represents a huge challenge for everyone, probably the biggest regulation change I have experienced in my career.
“When a new era begins, everything revolves around development, growth as a team, and moving forward in the same direction.
“As a driver, being involved from the very start in the development of such a different car has been a particularly fascinating challenge, working closely with the engineers to help define a clear direction for it.
“It will be an extremely important year from a technical perspective, with the driver playing a central role in energy management, understanding the new systems and contributing to the car’s development.”
Charles Leclerc will start his 8th year in his Ferrari seat. He has seen many ups and downs while driving for the team, playing a major part in Ferrari’s quest for titles. He also spoke to Sky Sports about how he felt about the car:
“We have already experienced major regulatory changes together, so we know how complex this challenge can be, but we are working with a lot of motivation to arrive on track as well prepared as possible.
“Energy management and the power unit will be among the most significant aspects - a fascinating challenge which will require us drivers to adapt quickly, relying more on instinct to begin with, and then increasingly on precise data.”
Heading into the new season, Ferrari have a lot to prove, both to themselves and their loyal supporters. Do people have high hopes for Ferrari this season? Will the new regulations end up being the saving grace for the team? Will Ferrari’s drought come to an end?
