Flying Fairclough Takes Second Race Victory of 2026 Campaign

A chaotic Race 1 at Silverstone saw pole sitter Deagan Fairclough claim a second race victory of the season.
Starting on pole for Race 1 at Silverstone is Hitech’s Deagan Fairclough, alongside him on the front row will be Rodin Motorsports Martin Molnár. The lights go green and a perfect start from Fairclough for Race 1. With front suspension damage for the Xcel Motorsport of Ricardo Baptista, the safety car was deployed which neutralised the grid.
On the restart, it was an excellent getaway for Fairclough, widening the gap to Molnár. Maxim Rehm went wheel to wheel with Fluxá and it was the German driver who managed to get ahead. Right on the rear of Fairclough was Molnár and taking the race lead with 15 minutes to go was the Hungarian driver.
An excellent battle between Fairclough and Molnár as the Brit who started on pole got back into the lead. The Fortec Motorsport of Jack Taylor had dropped down to 20th as his car started to slow.
With 10 minutes left to go, Deagan Fairclough was leading the race by over a second. Wheel to wheel went Jackes and Rehm, with Jackes under pressure for fourth place. Rehm lost a position to Lucas Fluxá. A three wide battle between Jackes, Rehm and Fluxá with slight contact between the Rodin and Xcel Motorsport cars which saw Fluxá drop to 19th. The incident between Rehm and Fluxá was under investigation by race control.
A few drivers were under investigation for the safety car restart including Maxim Rehm, Lucas Fluxá, Nikita Bedrin as well as the Arden Motorsport of Leon Wilson.
The chequered flag was waved and it’s a second race win of the season for Fairclough. In second we saw Rodin Motorsport’s Martin Molnár and taking the final podium place was Xcel Motorsport’s Rowan Campbell-Pilling.
