The FIA Formula 2 championship is back! After an unexpected spring break, the feeder series is back and this time we’re racing in Miami, Florida.

With the two rounds in Sakhir and Jeddah and the in-season test in Bahrain being cancelled due to the conflicts in the middle east, the long awaited championship is finally back.
Known for its high-speed street circuit around the Hardrock Stadium in Miami Gardens, the 3.36km long Miami International Autodrome will be making its debut with the FIA Formula 2 championship this race weekend.
Without having any data from the north american track and limited data from the season so far, it is hard to predict who is going to come out on top, but here are the favorites going into this weekend:
Nikola Tsolov:
He is the current championship leader after having proved he can perform well under pressure by winning the feature race at the Melbourne round, but only seven points ahead of fellow rookie, Rafa Câmara. Tsolov will be looking to have another great weekend to help him extend his championship lead
Rafa Câmara.
As said Câmara is second in the championship, but it could easily be first as he has only showed great results so far. He will be hoping to make a repeat of his Formula 3 season in F2.
Colton Herta:
One of the big storylines going into this race weekend is Colton Herta. After his FP1 session in F1 with Cadillac having been announced, the north american driver has lots of spotlight on him going into this weekend. Even more as it is his home race.
Dino Beganovic:
Beganovic has already shown great pace this season by getting pole position in Melbourne, after DNF’ing in the feature race in Melbourne from a technical failure while he was running second in the race.
With so many unknowns heading into the very first F2 race in Miami and with a grid so tight, even the smallest mistake could decide who leaves Florida on top.
