From the 3rd to the 5th of July, the Formula 3 championship will be racing around Silverstone circuit alongside the F1, here is all you need to know.

This is the fifth round of the Formula 3 championship, marking the halfway point of the season, every race now becomes more critical than it was before. Currently Ugo Ugochokwu stands top of the standings with one feature race win to his name this season. Freddie Slater sits sixteen points behind in 2nd, still looking for a feature race win this year.
Last time out in Austria, Noah Strømsted took the feature race win and displayed strong driving all weekend. He’s coming off the back of a rocky start in the championship but is now gaining the momentum he needs and is hoping to continue this and display it in front of the British crowd.
Looking at the circuit itself, Silverstone is the home of motorsport and is where all drivers want to shine. It is known for rewarding the drivers that stand out with bravery, those who dare to make the moves. Maggots and Becketts will prove a challenge to all these young drivers, they will need to use their only practice session of the weekend to learn the lines through here, learn how to use these corners to their benefit.

The circuit is also full of overtaking opportunities with the straights. Heading into Stowe and onto the straight gives drivers a chance to build speed and momentum, this brings with it a chance for thrilling overtakes, a chance to get ahead. Also watch out for drivers going down brooklands as it has become an iconic overtaking area in the past few years.
For the drivers qualifying will be critical, the weather at Silverstone is one of the most unpredictable on the calendar, the switch between rain and dry can be almost instant. Getting a good qualifying result could be the difference between a podium and a no points finish. Watch out for who excels this weekend.
