GB4 Preseason Testing Recap - Brands Hatch

On April 9th, pre-season testing for the GB4 Championship took place at Brands Hatch ahead of the season opener at Silverstone on 25/26th April.

Session 1
Thomas Ingram Hill (#8) topped the timesheet for session 1 driving for Fortec Motorsport topping the timesheet with a 1:26:751. The remaining top five spots were filled by Alex O’Grady (#3), Fred Green (#51), Enzo Hallman (#7), and Jason Smyth (#26). Furthermore, with small margins, the battle for top spots thriugh the season could be close, especially towards the front of the pack with only 0.559s separating the top five drivers. This session saw the majority of the Elite Motorsport cars within the top ten of the standings
Session 2
The second session of testing for the GB4 Championship at Brands Hatch saw Thomas Ingram Hill (#8) set the fastest time with a 1:26:295. The remaining top five spots were filled by Alex O’Grady (#3), Enzo Hallman (#7), Fred Green (#51), and Charlie Smith (#78). During this session we saw a gap of only 0.507s separating the top six drivers. The top performing teams this session were Fortec Motorsport, Hillspeed, and Elite Motorsport.
Session 3
The third session saw KMR Sport driver Alex O’Grady (#3) setting the fastest lap, a 1:25;153, with Fred Green (#51), Enzo Hallman (#7), Charlie Smith (#78), and Conor Grant (#54) completing the top 5. This session saw a good performance from Elite Motorsport and Hillspeed; however, the gaps between drivers were quite high with 0.740s between O’Grady in first and Green in second.
Combined Classification
Looking at the combined classification, most of the results are the same as those in the third session with most drivers setting their fastest lap at this point other than Matan Achituv who set his fastest lap in the third session.
Overall, the teams with the most consistent performance over these practice sessions have been Elite Motorsport and Hillspeed. The season opener at Silverstone could be a competitive one with the pace of drivers such as O’Grady, Green and Ingram Hill.
