Every year, 12 teams fight for the title of the “best team”. Let's see which team got it this year!
Only 4 teams get to play for the title. This year’s teams were;
Panionios
Ao Thiras
Olympiakos
Paok
They fought hard but which teams got to compete in the final?
On the 4th of March 2026, two matches were held in Chalkida to determine the two teams that would qualify for the final. The first match was Panionios against Olympiakos, and the second was Ao Thiras against Paok.
The first match started very strongly with Olympiakos winning the first set with a large lead. But in the second set Panionios “woke up” and won with 25-23, a tight victory over Olympiakos. The third set rolls and starts badly for Panionios, but they proceeded to win 25-22, meaning that now the sets are 2-1 in favour of Panionios. The fourth and final set comes and Panionios comes in strong for a 25-22 and wins the game- a first for the team after some struggles with the last 5 matches before the final 4.
The second match is on. Ao Thiras wins the first set by a huge difference of 25-12, a big head start for the team. The second set came and again Ao Thiras won with a 25-21. Paok tried to break the rhythm but failed. The third and final set was won by Ao Thiras with a score of 25-14, again a huge difference between the teams. Ao Thiras was set to play with Panionios in the Finals.
On the 7th of the same month, the teams played against each other. The first set was won by Panionios with an incredible 25-17- a masterwork by the team. The second set rolls and Panionios wins again with a score of 25-15, again amazing work by the team. The third set changed the mindset of the game, Ao Thiras won the set with 27-25, which was a huge turnaround. But they couldn’t keep up the pace and Panionios came and snatched the fourth set with a score of 25-20, earning them the title for the first time in the team's history.
