Elite Motorsport’s Flynn Jackes takes his first race victory at the Hungaroring for Round 9 of the 2026 GB3 Championship.

Starting on pole for Round 9 - the reverse grid race at the Hungaroring was Elie Motorsport’s Flynn Jackes alongside Hillspeed’s Dante Vinci. Lights went green for Round 9 and a good start off the line from Jackes. Further down the grid, two cars ended up stationary by the first corner, those being the Hitech TGR of Fairclough - his second retirement this race weekend as well as Rodin Motorsport’s Abbi Pulling who pulled over at Turn 5.
Yellow flags were waved for the incident on the opening lap, and a safety car was deployed. Back to green flag racing conditions we went at the Hungaroring, an exceptional restart from Flynn Jackes as Lucas Fluxá was able to get ahead of Vinci for second position.
Race control made the decision that Car 11 - the Hillspeed of Peter Bouzinelos would be handed a 10 second time penalty for a false start. Going into the opening corner, Bedrin tries to make a move on Micallef and it’s a big lockup for Nikita Bedrin.
Falling down the order from seventh was Kyuho Lee after going off just after Turn 11 with a safety car being deployed, neutralising the gaps between the rest of the grid. The safety car went back in and it was time for another restart where Jackes had a perfect restart.
The Hillspeed of Peter Bouzinelos spun on track after contact with Nobels which led Patricio Gonzalez to be stationary for a bit as well. A third safety car for the race was deployed with 5 minutes to go. Into the pitlane went Aurelia Nobels for a front wing replacement.
With one lap left to go it was time for the final restart, another exceptional restart from Jackes, with Fluxá closing the gap and getting close to the race lead.
Crossing the line in first was Elite Motorsport’s Flynn Jackes taking his first ever GB3 race victory, in second came Xcel Motorsports Lucas Fluxá. Rounding off the podium for Round 9 was Rodin Motorsports Maxim Rehm, however after post-race penalties were applied it was actually Rowan Campbell-Piling who was promoted to third.
