Jacob Micallef Joins Hitech For Remainder of 2026 GB3 Season

Micallef will join the Hitech team for selected rounds during the remainder of the 2026 season making him the first driver from Malta to compete at this level.

As Jin Nakamura now steps away from the GB3 Championship to focus on the FIA F3 Championship. Hitech has been able to promote Micallef to the next stage of single-seater racing. Micallef will join Hitech for selected rounds as he continues to race in his full F4 Spanish Championship programme.

Currently, Jacob Micallef has made a strong impression in the F4 Spanish Championship where he claimed pole position at Portimãoin only the second race of the season. His first race for GB3 will be at Round 3, taking place at the Hungaroring 2-5 July.

Micallef spoke to Hitech about the announcement and said “I’m incredibly excited to be joining Hitech for these races in the GB3 Championship. Stepping up to this championship only one step away from FIA F3 in only my first season is an unbelievable opportunity.”
