Netflix has stepped into the world of Spanish Football, bringing a documentary about Spain's top-flight league. It utilises behind-the-scenes footage that cannot be seen anywhere else, giving viewers an insight into what it takes to play for Spanish top-flight teams. With the cameras following star players from Lewandowski to Jose Gimenez, and Managers from all clubs throughout the 23/24 season, All Access gives us a look at what it's like to play in one of Spain's top divisions and what they experience in their day-to-day lives. 

What La Liga All Access gets right:

Access - This series offers content that fans rarely get. Viewers see what happens out on the fields during training sessions, as well as insights into what is said before the match and during halftime. The series gives viewers an insight into what goes on behind the scenes at key clubs such as FC Barcelona. Highlighting crucial Matchday moments from the El Clásico, the series lets fans enjoy seeing their favourite players play the sport that they love, giving access to fans who may not be able to attend or watch matches. 

Key players and Teams Featured - The series gives the audience an insight into what goes on behind the scenes at key clubs such as FC Barcelona.  It also gives them the chance to experience magical moments of La Liga. A player the series dives deep into is Lewandowski. Over the years, he has been a key player for FC Barcelona, having scored many crucial goals when the team have needed them. He has proven himself over and over to be one of Barcelona's top strikers. Lewandowski has also scored 100 goals in the UEFA Champions League. By highlighting his performance, the series allows both new and existing fans of the sport to learn more about him and his history in the sport.

Key Moments - The series captures the drama of the 23/24 La Liga season, focusing on key matches such as Barcelona and Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid vs Real Madrid. 

Showcasing the passion - La Liga All Access shows the amount of passion that surrounds one of Spain's highest leagues in football. This is shown in support from fans to players, and it also captures a unique atmosphere in La Liga. 

Where La Liga All Access goes wrong: 

Lack of Analysis - The series often fails to address topics that may be upsetting to audiences. This could be addressed by adding warnings for viewers about sensitive and upsetting topics. The series also has a lack of detail when covering technical aspects of the sport such as such as penalties, red and yellow cards. 

Curated narrative - The series focuses on the storylines of key and rising players, staff, managers and club history. However, the series hardly dives into the darker aspects of what goes on behind the scenes with players and staff, rather depicting a slanted narrative of the league.

Is it worth watching? 

La Liga All Access is worth watching because it offers an entertaining look into what goes on behind the scenes in LA Liga. It is also a great way for the fans to learn more about the club they support, club rivalries and their favourite players.
