Wednesday, November 19th was indeed a good day for female motorsport fans, with Formula One and Lego announcing the beginning of a partnership that is set to kick off next season.

F1 Academy is set to gain a new (and creative) partner for their grid.
On Wednesday, F1 Academy made two Lego-related announcements ahead of the 2025 season finale in Las Vegas.
The first and biggest announcement was that Lego would be given an entry on the F1 Academy grid starting in the 2026 season. Under the banner Lego Racing, the Danish company will join F1 Academy just before Cadillac, who are set to arrive in 2027.
We also know who will be Lego Racing’s first-ever driver; Dutch driver and Zandvoort Wild Card entry Esmee Kosterman will represent the team on the F1 Academy grid in 2026.
The second announcement introduced an F1 Academy-themed Lego set, which will be based on the Lego Racing entry for the 2026 F1 Academy season. The set will fall under the brand’s Speed Champions lineup, which includes all ten Formula 1 cars and their 2024 liveries and is set to add an Audi F1 set as well as one featuring the APEX GP car from the recently-released F1 movie.
Fans can now pre-order the set on the official Lego website and at select retailers; the set is scheduled for release on March 1st, 2026. The price of the Lego F1 Academy car is set at 34.99 CAD.
