Marc Márquez Wins at Misano World Circuit
Marc Márquez took the win at the San Marino Grand Prix this weekend. He took an advantage from the early crash from Marco Bezzecchi and he made up the 102 point gap to move into the championship lead.
Bezzecchi’s Home Race Finished Early
Marco Bezzecchi started his home race from pole after having an amazing qualifying lap where he was able to set a new lap record, but his hopes for a victory at his home race ended very soon after the race started, because he crashed while leading the opening lap.
Márquez was able to take advantage of the crash, by being able to move into the lead and taking the control
Márquez Takes Control
Márquez was in the lead of the race, while behind him the pack was starting to settle down a bit. Márquez had the lead for almost the whole race, but Jorge Martín briefly had the lead on lap seven,sadly he was not able to maintain his pace and eventually dropped back in the standings.
Álex Márquez got a strong result as well, he finished second for Gresini Racing, meaning he stood on the podium besides his brother, they were joined by Pedro Acosta who completed the podium in third for KTM. The top 5 was finished by Fermín Aldegeur who finished fourth ahead of Martín in fifth.
Another Hard Race for Bagnaia
Francesco Bagnaia had another tough race this weekend. The Ducati rider crashed out of the race, making his fourth retirement in the last five races.
On the other hand Raúl Fernández completed the top six, this meant we had an all Spanish top six for the first time in motogp history
