Marcin Budkowski Joins Cadillac

The Cadillac Formula 1 Team have just announced their new Team Principal from Zandvoort onwards.
On August 12th, Cadillac Formula 1 Team announced that their Team Principal for the rest of 2026 and beyond would be 49 year old Marcin Budkowski.
With Budkowski joining the team, this will strengthen the company’s leadership team from the Dutch Grand Prix and onwards.
Looking back at previous work, the French/Polish engineer has more than 2 decades of experience in Formula 1 by being in engineering, regulatory and executive leadership roles with people like Alain Prost, Ferrari, McLaren, Alpine and the FIA. Along with this, he has also worked across multiple championships where he oversaw the engineering, technical and operational functions of the cars he has worked on.
Coming into the team he has stated that his “Focus will be on aligning our people, tools and information flow so the right decisions are made very quickly and the performance of the car improves every time we go racing. It is a privilege to be leading Cadillac’s F1 team on track efforts starting in Zandvoort next weekend.”
Heading into the remaining second half of the season, Cadillac are still looking to finish within the top 10 to gain points in the championship whilst also improving the car to do so.
