MotoGP is Headed Back to Italy

The MotoGP paddock is returning to Italy next weekend for the San Marino GP at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli for Round 14 of the 2026 season which is going to take place from September 11 to 13.
The Misano World Circuit
The Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli is a very familiar track on the MotoGP calendar, it was built in 1972 and was on the calendar during the 80s and early 90s, before coming back in 2007 after some construction. This track is located on the Adriatic Coast of Italy, and now it's a regular venue for racing and testing.
The circuit is 4.23 kilometres long with 16 corners in total, with 10 right-hand turns and 6 left-hand turns. It has a combination of fast corners and some heavy braking zones and the technical sections will create close racing throughout the field.
Misano is also the home race for several riders. Francesco Bagnaia, Marco Bezzecchi and Franco Morbidelli and some other riders, they will have plenty of support from the Italian fans as this circuit fits 60.000 people.
Back After Aragon
The paddock will arrive in Misano after a very exciting weekend at Aragon. Marc Márquez took two wins during the weekend at Aragon, giving him strong momentum heading into the next round.
Bagnaia will be hoping for a stronger weekend at his home race after leaving Aragon without scoring any points. The Ducati rider crashed out during the Grand Prix on Sunday after a difficult Sprint Race, making Misano an important chance to bounce back.
There will also be a change at Tech3 KTM,with Pol Espargaró replacing Maverick Viñales. It will be the third appearance for Espargaró this 2026 season.
