While Brentford has successfully ensured the maintenance of the system implemented under Thomas Frank, achieved by promoting former set-piece coach Keith Andrews to the role of manager, can the Bees maintain the same level of performance seen under the Danish coach?

If one word could be used to describe the summer of 2025 for Brentford, it would be the word “departure.”
Not only did former manager Thomas Frank leave the club to join Tottenham, but key players like Bryan Mbeumo and Christian Nørgaard also took their talents elsewhere. While the arrival of Jordan Henderson and Caoimhin Kelleher should keep the club from struggling, whether their arrivals alone can save Brentford from a return to the Championship is another question.
What Noah says:
Change is coming for Brentford. After bringing Brentford into the Premier League and ensuring sustained success in the top flight for the Bees, manager Thomas Frank has departed the club to become the new Tottenham manager. The club is set to promote Keith Andrews, the set-piece coach, to fill the position, which I see as a move that prevents a complete identity reset and allows the club to stay true to the vision built over the past decade.
That said, I don’t see them getting off to the best start; forgetting the fact they play top-six opposition four times in their first ten games, there still is going to be a transition period where the club finds its footing under their new manager. A November and December filled with sides like Tottenham and Crystal Palace that will be fighting for the top ten does them no favours. Neither does their January and February slate, but they do enjoy a doable finish that sees them avoid top sides until the final three weeks, which includes games against Manchester City and Liverpool.
For Brentford, the key this season will be to find consistency under new management, and I think they can do that. While they may not find their way into the top ten once again, I do believe they won’t be far off.
Projected finish: 11th
What Ellie says:
Andrews has a massive challenge ahead after being promoted from the set-piece coach to manager; he will need to start the season off strong. He will need to ensure the squad comes into the 25/26 season ready to fight for their spot in the top ten.
They have a rocky start to the season, before having to host Manchester City and Arsenal in October, before an easier run into the final game weeks. They face Liverpool in game week 38 away to end what could be a turbulent season.
With a new managerial structure, they must find their feet early in order to stay in the fight for the top half of the league, remain consistent and stay clear of injuries. I believe Brentford are in for a tricky season, but will pull through and finish well just outside the top ten.
Projected finish: 11th
