Highlights

One of the best moments this season for RB was also a career high for rookie Isack Hadjar, as the French driver took his first ever podium finish at the Dutch Grand Prix. Despite breaking the trophy when celebrating with the team, this was a pivotal moment for RB and Hadjar. It showed the potential for the team to achieve more results like this one, and it also allowed Hadjar to prove himself in his rookie season. There were several more solid results for the RB duo this season, with both drivers regularly finishing in the points and proving difficult to beat on their best days. On the other side of the garage, the best result was a P5 for Liam Lawson at the Azerbaijani Grand Prix, after qualifying P3 in a chaotic 2-hour qualifying session with several red flags.

Struggles

The season didn’t kick off as planned for the team. In what was his first race weekend as an official F1 driver, Hadjar crashed out on the formation lap and did not manage to start the race in Australia. The British Grand Prix was a particularly low point for the team with both drivers not finishing the race. With a heavy downpour and chaotic opening lap, Lawson clashed with Ocon and was the first out of the race, retiring after the incident. Following a Safety Car period, Hadjar collided with the back of Kimi Antonelli’s Mercedes and also had to retire instantly. With the wrong strategy and low visibility, it was a nightmare weekend for the pair as they lost vital points to their midfield rivals. Mistakes like these are what will hold RB back from consistently challenging the teams ahead of them.

Statistics

With the team having no wins but one impressive podium finish by Isack Hadjar, RB finished P6 in the Constructors' Championship with 92 points scored throughout the season, just ahead of Aston Martin, who scored 89 points.

Big News

In 2026, Liam Lawson will remain at Racing Bulls as Isack Hadjar is promoted to Red Bull, with 18-year-old Arvid Lindblad stepping up to replace him in his maiden F1 season. RB has the potential to make their way further up the ranks as Lindblad has shown promising skills in the junior categories, while Lawson’s strong 2025 campaign provides a reliable reference point for the team. If this past year has shown anything, it is that RB is building towards something bigger. This, in addition to the new Red Bull Powertrain engine RB will be using in 2026, will make the team an interesting spectacle in 2026.

Liam Lawson

Liam Lawson has been a consistent driver throughout the 2025 season. Although he had 5 DNFs during the season, he still finished P14 in the Drivers' Championship with 38 points scored for Racing Bulls. His best finish was at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, where he crossed the line in fifth position.

Isack Hadjar

For Isack Hadjar, this was a memorable rookie season. Even though the start of this first-ever Formula One season didn’t go as planned, he still improved himself and managed to impress everyone. Hadjar only had 2 DNFs throughout the season and finished 10 times in the Grand Prix Top 10s. His best result was a P3 at the Dutch Grand Prix, with the rookie clinching his maiden podium as previously mentioned. He finished P12 in the Drivers' Championship with 51 points scored, just ahead of fellow rookie Oliver Bearman.

This season was a turbulent one for Racing Bulls, but with the new regulations and driver for the 2026 season, we will be able to see how consistent they will stay in the midfield.
