Spa-Francorchamps F3 Preview

The Formula 3 Championship is back for another doubleheader, with Round 6 on the calendar being at the infamous Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium.

The Track:

Like Formula 1, Spa-Francorchamps is the longest circuit on the calendar, stretching just over 7 km following the major redevelopment completed in 2022. 

Due to its sheer size, weather conditions can vary dramatically across the circuit. It is not uncommon for one section of the track to remain completely dry while another is hit by a sudden rain shower, creating an extra challenge for both drivers and teams.

Arguably the most iconic section of the circuit is Eau Rouge-Raidillon, a sequence of corners that has become synonymous with Spa-Francorchamps. Taken almost flat out, it demands precision, confidence, and complete commitment from the drivers.

Drivers to look for:

Bruno del Pino is one the drivers looking to restore his form after not having scored more than 1 point since Barcelona. The Spanish driver who impressed with early season-consistency, will be aiming to get his season back on track.

The Dane, Noah Strømsted, heads into the weekend fourth in the championship and will be looking to hold off Bruno del Pino behind him while putting pressure on Théophile Naël, who sits just three points ahead.

The last driver to look for is the most recent feature race winner, Maciej Gładysz. The ART Grand Prix driver got promoted to the top step following post-race penalties and will be hoping to achieve it once again.
