The MotoGP Heads To Hungary

The MotoGP is returning to Hungary for the eighth round of the 2026 season. This article will tell you everything you need to know before this upcoming weekend.
The Hungarian Grand Prix
The Hungarian Grand Prix is right around the corner, it will take place this weekend from the 5th of June till the 7th of June at the brand new Balaton Park circuit, which open in May of 2023, and it will be our second year at this track after Hungary made their highly anticipated return after 33 years, So this track is quite new for the old drivers and the rookies, making it a very exciting weekend.
After last weekend at Mugello, the riders are driving Hungary with the championship starting to open up a little bit, but the battles at the front remain intense. With Bezzecchi starting to create a bigger gap for the rest, the top of the standings remain close. Bezzecchi holds a 17-point gap to his teammate, leaving zero margin for error as they navigate this track .
The Circuit
The Balaton Park Circuit is quite new on this calendar, with this year being the second year they race here. This track isn’t like other venues which have decades of historical date, this is a flowing and technical track, where the riders drive anti-clockwise. It requires adaptability and some amazing front-end feeling.
The circuit has a demanding layout that will test the tire management, as the teams don't have as much data on how the rubber will wear across the track. This track features 17 corners in total with 7 to the right and 10 to the left, this track also has some heavy braking zones and acceleration points.

We are ready for this weekend, at Balaton Park Circuit The circuit is ready to show who will be the fastest and will go home with the trophy and the points, and maybe we can see an incredible driver by an underdog. When the lights go out upcoming Sunday, the Hungarian Grand Prix will test the limits of riders and motors.
