An interesting match took place between Vietnam and India, with this being India’s first competition in a while. Here’s everything you may have missed.

Unfortunately, India faced a 2–1 defeat against Vietnam in their first game of the Asian Women’s Cup.
Vietnam’s Ngân Thị Vạn Sự scored both goals for Vietnam, while Sanfida Nongrum scored India’s only goal.
The first goal was scored in the 30th minute by Vietnam, which kept them in the lead going into halftime. However, just after the break, India regained possession and scored in the 52nd minute, bringing the game level and leaving both teams tied for most of the second half. In extra time, during the 94th minute, Vietnam scored a late winner.
As early as the 8th minute, India tested the Vietnamese goalkeeper with a shot on goal, but she remained strong and made the save, preventing India from taking the lead. Vietnam quickly responded by taking control of the midfield.
In the 14th minute, Vietnam attempted a powerful shot, but India managed to save it. Goalkeeper Chanu continued to impress, making save after save.
In the 40th minute, India had a clear opportunity to score but failed to convert the chance.
Vietnam also tried to increase their lead before halftime but were unsuccessful, leaving the score at 1–0 at the break.
Minutes into the second half, Vietnam had another shot on target, but after a VAR review the goal was disallowed due to handball. The decision gave India hope, and they soon managed to equalise.
Vietnam continued to create chances, with several clear sights on goal, but they missed multiple attempts.
In the final minutes, Vietnam looked stronger and showed clear signs of determination. Their persistence paid off in extra time, when they scored the winning goal to secure victory.
