VRD Racing’s Nikita Bedrin Takes His Sixth Race Victory of 2026

Crossing the line in first, it was a sixth race win for championship leader Nikita Bedrin.

Race 2 will see VRD Racing’s Nikita Bedrin start on pole alongside Rodin Motorsport’s Martin Molnar. With 25 minutes on the clock an exceptional start from Bedrin and Lucas Fluxa making his way up to second. Going wide went the Hillspeed of Dante Vinci in a battle with Jacob Micallef, Vinci only losing one position. Rowan Campbell-Piling also managed to make a move on Molnar for the final podium spot.
Race control handed a 5-second time penalties to Jacob Micallef and Leon Wilson. The Hillspeed of Peter Bouzinelos was the next car to get handed a track limits time penalty as well as the Arden Motorsport of Lewis Gilbert. The next penalty was handed to Kyuho Lee who was within the top 10, his teammate Flynn Jackes was the next to receive one. Fairclough got handed 10 seconds worth of penalties.
Wheel to wheel went Rodin teammates - Molnar and Rehm and it was Maxim Rehm who managed to get ahead for fourth place. Wilson also was handed a drive through penalty for track limits. Rowan Campbell-Piling who was running in third got handed a 10 second time penalty.

Nikita Bedrin took another race victory at the Red Bull Ring, a sixth win this season. Fluxa finished in second, marking his fourth consecutive podium. Campbell-Piling crossed the line in third however with post-race penalties applied, Maxim Rehm was promoted to third.
