Wanda Diamond League Eugene 2026

On July 4th the Eugene Diamond League began where athletes from around the world competed for valuable points to qualify for the Diamond League final.

Women’s Shot Put

Chase Jackson from USA wins the women’s shot put with 20.56m one of three throws beyond 20m on the day.

Men’s Discus Throw 

Mykolas Alekna from Lithuania , the world record holder wins the men's discus throw with a season best 71.06m.

Men’s 400m 

Collen Kebinatshipi from Botswana who is the world champion takes the men’s 400m at the Prefontaine Classic in 44.00, seeing off a stacked field for another diamond league victory.

Men’s 110m Hurdles 

Jamal Britt from USA wins at the Eugene diamond league with a meeting record and personal best of 12.86 in the men’s 110m hurdles.

Women’s 2 Miles

Aleshign Baweke from Ethiopia who is 20 years old takes the women’s 2 mile in a swift 9:20.02, setting a new world lead.

Women’s Long Jump

Tara Davis Woodhall from USA who is the Olympic champion wins the women’s long jump with 7.13m , a single centimetre clear of Larissa Iapichino.

Women’s 3000m Steeplechase 

Faith Cherotich from Kenya wins the women’s 3000m steeplechase in 8:51.74 seeing off Olympic champions Winfred Yavi and Peruth Chemutai.

Men’s Shot Put

Leonardo Fabbri from Italy opens with a world leading 22.74m to win the men’s shot put , well clear of the field.

Women’s 100m Hurdles 

Masai Russell from USA equaled the meeting record with 12.24 to win the women’s 100m hurdles, holding off Tobi Amusan.

Women’s 800m 

Lilian Odira from Kenya wins the women’s 800m in a season best 1:56.19 getting the better of Olympic Champion Keely Hodgkinson.

Men’s 200m

Tate Taylor from USA who is 18 years old and wins the men's 200m and beats Olympic Champion Letsile Tebogo with a time of 19.75 setting a new personal best.

Women’s 100m

Melissa Jefferson Wooden from USA wins the women’s 100m in a season best 10.78, holding off Sha’Carri Richardson.

Women’s Mile 

Nikki Hiltz from USA runs a world lead of 4:17.49 to win the women’s mile, getting the better of world record holder Faith Kipyegon.

Men’s Mile 

Cameron Myers from Australia wins in 3:46.06, the 20 year old beating Olympic champion Cole Hocker and a world class field.
