Wanda Diamond League Xiamen China 2026

On May 23rd the second diamond league of the year started at Xiamen China where athletes from all over the world gave their best and gained some more RoadToTheFinal points for the final Diamond League despite it being still early days.

Men’s 400m


Busang Kebinatshipi from Botswana won at the men’s at Xiamen with a time of 43.92 setting a new WL and a new MR.


Women’s Javelin Throw 


Ya Ziyi from China who is only 18 years old won at the women’s javelin throw with a throw of 71.74m setting a new WR Under20, a new DLR, a new MR and a new WL and also this is the second furthest throw in history.


Women’s 3000m SC


Chemutai Peruth from Uganda won at the women’s 3000m steeplechase with a time of 8:51.06 setting a new MR and a new WL . She had a battle with Winfred Yavi who placed second at the final 50m of the 3000m sc.


Men’s 110m Hurdles 


Jamal Britt from USA takes the win at the Xiamen Diamond League with a time of 13.07 to equal his PB.


Men’s Shot Put


Rajindra Campbell from Jamaica takes the win at the Xiamen diamond league with a throw of 22.34m setting a new National Record for Jamaica in the process.


Women’s 200m


Shericka Jackson from Jamaica storms in the women’s 200m at Xiamen with a tim of 22.87 setting a new MR and a new SB. 


Men’s 5000m


Addisu Yihune from Ethiopia won at Xiamen at the men’s 5000m with a time of 12:57.32 setting a new MR.


Women’s 1500m


Abbey Caldwell from Australia had a stellar race to take the win at Xiamen with a time of 3:57.26.


Men’s Long Jump


Miltiadis Tentoglou from Greece took the win at Xiamen with a massive jump at 8.46m setting a new MR and a new WL at the 3rd round.


Men’s 400m Hurdles 


Alison Dos Santos from Brazil backed it up and took another win at the men’s 400m hurdles at Xiamen with a time of 46.72 seconds setting a new WL beating also rival Karsten Warholm in the process.


Women’s High Jump


Yulia Levchenko from Ukraine won at Xiamen Diamond League with a jump of 1.99m which is a great jump from the Ukrainian to seal the deal.


Men’s 100m 


Ferdinand Omanyala from Kenya took a comfortable win, sprints to victory in the men’s 100m in 9.94 seconds.


Women’s Discus Throw 


Valarie Sion from USA claimed victory at Xiamen in the women's discus throw with a throw of 68.45m.


Women’s 100 Hurdles 


Masai Russell from USA took the win at Xiamen Diamond League at women’s 100m hurdles with a time of 12.14 seconds setting a new AR , a new DLR, a new MR and a new WL.
