From the 7-10th May, the World Rally Championship will be racing through Portugal. Here is everything that you need to know.

Rally Portugal will mark the 6th round of the WRC season and so far it has been action packed. Evans sits top of the championship with 101 points after his win in Sweden and strong campaign in Islas Canaries. Following closely behind him, Katsuta sits on 99 points after wins in Kenya and Croatia. It is all still to play for.
This rally is 23 stages long and covers 344.91km across the four days. The route is completely gravelled, the first one of the European stage, meaning issues of tyre wear, and loose stones come into play.
The route begins with a ceremonial stage in Coimbra, to celebrate the start of the rally and to get fans excited for the next few days of racing. It heads to the high speed section of Lousã, where drivers will be testing the limits of how fast the cars can really go. The Aragnail loops will also come into play where precision is key, there is no room for error among this section. The Amarante section throws a challenge at the drivers with it being 30km long, making endurance the key.
Watch out for the Fafe section, the open jump provides action and thrill for spectators. However it also brings a challenge for drivers to get it correct without losing any time to their competitors. Typically in the past, Neville has been quick in this section, and across the whole section, however he will need a clean execution after his previous few rounds.
