AZ Takes The Win After A Comeback Against SC Heerenveen
This weekend it was time for another round of this Eredivisie season, on Sunday the 6th of September SC Heerenveen played against AZ Alkmaar in the Abe Lenstra Stadion in Heerenveen.

First-Half
AZ got off to a good start in Heerenveen. Daal opened the scoring after just seven minutes, making it from the inside before finding the far corner giving them an early lead.
Heerenveen responded quickly and found a way to make their equaliser in the 21st minute. Mabeneyshi finished it from a close distance after a pass from Vente. The home team then made it 2-1 around nine minutes later when Meerveld shot a ball that found the net.
AZ had multiple opportunities to respond before the first half was over, but Heerenveen kept it closed and took their one point advantage into half-time.

Second Half
AZ came out of half-time looking for a response after the break and got control of the match. The visiting team made several changes in their line-up with Andreasen coming in for captain Jordy Clasie in the 64th minute.
The 2-2 came just five minutes later. Mexx Meerdink found the top corner of the goal, he shot the ball from just outside the box to make the equaliser.
The decisive moment came in the 83th minute. Ayoub Oufkir had only just got into the match for Daal when he scored with his first chance to complete the comeback and made it 2-3.
Heerenveen pushed for a late equaliser and created another few moments in the last couple of minutes, but AZ held onto the three points and their fifth victory in a row and with this victory they will remain first in the competition.

Luckily for Heerenveen they will have their next chance for points next weekend when they will play against Telstar on Sunday the 13th of September, and AZ will be playing on Friday the 11th of September against newly promoted Willem II.
