BALKAN ATHLETICS CHAMPIONSHIPS VOLOS GREECE 2025 (KEY EVENTS)

The Balkan Athletics Championships, held recently in Volos, Greece, was an event characterised by an impressive atmosphere and ecstatic crowd. Pamthessaliko Stadium played host to the two-day championship where new athletes were crowned champions.

Miltiadis Tentoglou - Men’s Long Jump

Greece’s long jump star, Miltiadis Tentoglou, secured the gold medal on the men’s long jump at the event, starting with an invalid attempt but jumping 8.07m on his second attempt to secure first place. This impressive jump also crowned him the Balkan Champion of Men’s Long Jump. Despite this result, after being unhappy with the landing area and sand, the athlete decided to skip any further attempts.


Elina Tzengo - Women’s Javelin Throw

Elina Tzengo from Greece took first place, securing the gold medal in the Women’s Javelin throw at the Balkan Athletics Championships Volos 2025 when she threw the javelin 62.83m.


Ivana Španović - Women’s Triple Jump

From Serbia, Ivana Španović wins in the women’s triple jump with a jump of 14.12m and becomes the Balkan Champion of Volos 2025.


Tihomir Ivanov - Men’s High Jump

From Bulgaria, Tihomir Ivanov wins the men’s high jump and takes the gold medal with a jump of 2.19m, crowning the Balkan Champion.


Angelina Topić - Women’s High Jump

Angelina Topić from Serbia wins the women’s high jump with 1.93m, securing first place and also adding her name to the Champion list.


Emmanouil Karalis - Men’s Pole Vault

Finally, Greece’s pole vault star, Emmanouil Karalis, showed an impressive performance by successfully clearing 5.92m. This secured him the gold medal at the Balkan Championships. Along with this, his so near attempt at clearing 6.11m impressed the crowd.
