FA Cup Weekend: Cheltenham Look to Rattle Leicester in Classic Underdog Clash

The FA Cup returns this weekend in the 3rd round as League 2 side Cheltenham Town face EFL side Leicester City in a tie at the Whaddan Road Stadium. 

Cheltenham enters the game with nothing to lose. But they go into this game dreaming of a place in the final in May with the chance for the club to get their hands on their first trophy this season. But with them being backed by a loud home crowd at Whaddan Road. The Robins will look to press with energy on the ball.

Leicester come into this 3rd round FA Cup tie as the ones to win, with their legacy as the team to lift the trophy back in 2021 when they had won 1-0 to London side Chelsea. Leicester’s depth will be tested, and their ability to stay composed in a hostile environment could define the tie.

During the game, Leicester aim to let the game play out wide. But as we have learnt over the years, the first 30 minutes of match play often set the tempo and rhythm for the rest of the game.
