Emil Frey Racing wins Chaotic Barcelona Finale
Emil Frey Racing ended the GT World Challenge Europe Sprint Cup season with a victory in Barcelona. Thierry Vermeulen and Ben Green took the Ferrari 296 GT3 EVo to the top step after a weekend that was heavily affected by rain.

Race 1
Heavy rain made the opening race of the weekend a difficult one. The wet conditions made it so that there wasn't much grip and forced drivers to carefully manage their tyres.
The #99 Tresor Attempto Racing Audi started 14th on the grid, and became one of the fastest on the track. Dylan Pereira and Alex Aka moved through the field as the conditions became much more challenging.
Several leading cars were struggling in the rain, allowing the Audi to gain positions during the race. Tresor Attempto eventually reached the front of the pack and took a remarkable victory.
Lionspeed GP finished second with Ricardo Feller and Bastian Buus, putting them in a strong position to win the Sprint Cup title.

Race 2
The second race brought another change in conditions, creating another challenge for the drivers.
Emil Frey Racing #69 Ferrari was able to quickly take control of the race. Thierry Vermeulen and Ben Green were able to maintain a strong pace throughout the 33-lap race and kept all the other cars behind them.
AF Corse #50 Ferrari were able to finish second with Thomas Neubauer and Arthur Leclerc. The Tresor Attempto Racing #66 Audi finished off the podium with Ariel Levi and Andrea Frassineti.
Behind the podium battle, several cars were fighting for positions throughout the field. The challenging conditions made consistency really important, with mistakes making a big difference at Barcelona.

Sprint Cup Champions
This weekend was also the deciding weekend for the Sprint Cup Championships. Ricardo Feller and Bastian Buus secured the drivers title for Lionspeed GP, while Team WRT took the teams championship.
AF Corse won the Gold cup Tile, while Ziggo Sport Tempesta Racing got to celebrate a class championship.
The Sprint Cup season is now officially done, but the GT World Challenge Europe still has one more Endurance cup race, which is taking place at Portimão from 16 to 18 October, where we will also see Max Verstappen take on the grid again.
