From 26 to 29 June 2025, Madrid played host to a scorching edition of the European Athletics Team Championships, where passion, national pride, and world-class performances lit up the Estadio de Vallehermoso.

Miltiadis TENTOGLOU- Men’s Long Jump

Representing Greece, Miltiadis TENTOGLOU soared to 8.46m, setting a Championship Record. 

Boglárka TACÁCS- Women’s 100m

Hungary’s Boglárka TACÁCS clocked an impressive 11.06 on the Women's 100m setting a new Championship Record.


Mohamed ATTAOUI- Men's 800m

Spain’s own Mohamed ATTAOUI clocked a remarkable 1:44.01, setting a championship record and delivering a strong performance on home soil.


Anaïs BOURGOIN - Women’s 800m

France’s Anaïs BOURGOIN clocked 1:58.20, setting a Championship Record in the Women’s 800m.


Karl BEBENDORF - Men’s 3000m Steeplechase

Germany’s Karl BEBENDORF clocked 8:20.43 on the Men’s 3000m Steeplechase setting a Championship Record.


POLAND – Mixed 4x400m Relay

The Polish team with the athletes Maksymilian SZWED, Justyna ŚWIĘTY-ERSETIC, Daniel SOŁTYSIAK and Natalia BUKOWIECKA clocked 3:09.43, setting a Championship Record. 


Xavi MO-AJOK – Men’s 200m

 Dutch sprinter Xavi MO-AJOK ran 20.31 and set a Championship Record. 


Jaël BESTUÉ – Women’s 200m

Spain’s sprint star Jaël BESTUE ran a brilliant 22.19, setting a Championship Record. 


Jessica SCHILDER – Women’s Shot Put

From the Netherlands, Jessica SCHILDER threw 20.14m, setting a Championship Record. 


Samuel REARDON – Men’s 400m

Samuel REARDON of Great Britain clocked 44.68, smashing the Championship Record. 


NETHERLANDS – Men’s 4x100m Relay

The Dutch men’s sprint squad, with the athletes Nsikak EKPO, Taymir BURNET, Xavi MO-AJOK and Elvis AFRIFA, blazed to a time of 37.82, setting a Championship Record. 


Femke BOL – Women’s 400m

Femke BOL of the Netherlands ran 49.48, smashing the Championship Record. 


NETHERLANDS– Women’s 4x100m Relay

The Dutch women’s team, with the athletes Nadine VISSER, Lieke KLAVER, Minke BISSCHOPS and Marije VAN HUNENSTIJN, closed out with another stellar performance, running 42.02 for a Championship Record. 


Italy Crowned First Division Champions at 2025 European Athletics Team Championships in Madrid

Finally, Team Italy came out on top as the First Division champions at the 2025 European Athletics Team Championships with 431,5 Points.
