The starting ten for FC Barcelona included Joan Garcia in goal, Cancelo, Cubarsi, Gavi, Pedri, Lewandowski, Fermin Lopez,Gerard Martin, Rooney, Olmo, and Eric.

While Raphinha rejoined the squad on Saturday against Osasuna the striker did not participate in the match, likely being rested for the upcoming El Clasico taking place on May 10, 2026 at Camp Nou. Barcelona made early attempts at goal with Lewandovski taking a shot during the 9th minute of the game assisted by Olmo which went high, missing the goal.

During the 35th minute Osasuna player Ante Budimir, took a shot at the Barcelona goal which was denied by the pole, keeping the score at a 0-0 draw. Another attempt was made by Budimir during the 37th minute which was blocked by Joan Garcia.

The game began to pick up after several late substitutions including Marcus Rashford on the right wing in place of Rooney, and Ferran Torres in place of Gavi. In the 81st minute, Rashford played the ball to Lewandowski who scored a header for the Blaugrana. Five minutes later Ferran Torres assisted by Fermin Lopez sent the ball past the Osasuna defence and into the back of the net; scoring another goal for FC Barcelona, and bringing them closer to a win.

Osasuna’s substitute, Raúl García sent the ball into the back of the Barcelona net by a header. The game ended after 8 minutes of stoppage time with a score of 2-1 in Barcelona’s favour, bringing them closer to clinching the Spanish League title. While Real Madrid won their game against Espanyol on Sunday, Barcelona is still 11 points clear of Real Madrid in La Liga. Barcelona only need one point to clinch the title meaning if they win against Real Madrid at Camp Nou they will be crowned champions of the Spanish League for the second year in a row, making this their first consecutive La Liga title since 2019.

Will FC Barcelona finish the job and be crowned League winners on Sunday May 10, 2026 against Real Madrid?
