On the 31st of October in Valencia, many talented female drivers were given the opportunity to test the latest Formula E car. But what is it? Who was involved? And what happened?

The Formula E women’s test is exactly as it sounds, an all-female test day. This time, 14 talented female drivers were given the opportunity to run the all-new Formula E car for the 2025/26 season. They completed 2 test sessions, totalling 6 hours which is double the time they were given at the inaugural test in Berlin. This is a massive step forward for women in motorsport. With Formula E being one of the top steps of the motorsport ladder, these women are getting a chance to showcase their talent and prove to the teams that they deserve a full-time seat within the series.

Here is what went down. Mahindra continued their streak of being fastest with Chloe Chambers topping the times by 0.064s. Chambers left her mark and proved why she was put in that seat, continuing her display of pace shown in F1 Academy this year. The next fastest driver was fan favourite and 2024 F1 academy champion Abbi Pulling for Nissan. Popular name Bianca Bustamante finished up in third, returning for a second year, this time with Cupra Kiro, after working as a development driver for them. Alice Powell managed to find herself in 4th fastest after struggling with battery issues in the afternoon session.

All of the drivers impressed teams, directors and fans alike. Each driver put in dedicated work to collect valuable data for the teams and prove their worth. We all cannot wait to see where women in Formula E will go next.
