Last time out the series headed to Paul Ricard with a 6 hour endurance race, however Brands Hatch marked the start of the sprint season which includes two, 1-hour races. Both of these races include mandatory pit stops and driver changes which will be something to look out for when strategy comes into play.

There are 30+ cars setting the grid at Brands Hatch, this makes it one of the most competitive GT3 grids globally. Brands like BMW, Mercedes and Ferrari are involved and wanting to fight to come out on top. Another brand involved is Aston Martin, with a win with one car versus penalties for other, they’ll be hoping for more consistency this time out.

The Mercedes-AMG of Maro Engel, Lucas Aver and Luca Stoltz will be aiming for another pole position, which would give them their 5th straight pole position as a team. They are proving to be the ones with the speed and who others are aiming to beat.

Here is the schedule for the weekend

The 3.9km circuit provides plenty of places for action. A notable place is paddock hill bend. The long run in and out of the corner gives a large area for overtakes. The run in gives time to catch up to competitors and then bend after gives time to try and gain a gap over them to solidify the overtake.

Big motorsport names such as Valentino Rossi and Arthur Leclerc are participating this weekend and will be sure to bring in a crowd. They’ll be wanting to impress the British crowd and solidify their spot in the championship. But how will they fare?
