The 25th to the 28th June marks the 6th round of the IMSA championship, here is everything you need to know.

The IMSA drivers will be taking on the Sahlen 6 hours of Glen at the Watkins Glen International circuit, this comes after two sprint races round in the championship, meaning drivers will need to adapt back to the endurance format. The circuit is 3.4 miles long and consists of 11 turns.
At this circuit commitment is rewarded, being brave and daring through the Esses can be a pivotal moment during the race, making an overtake through here can be the difference between podium and failure. Also commitment to traffic management and strategy will be pivotal here. With there being 54 cars entered across four classes, a poorly timed pit stop could determine the course of a team's race.
Driver changes could be pivotal, the 6 hour race means fans will see multiple driver swaps during the action, getting each driver in at their strongest point is a key part of a team strategy. A driver who fares better during a race start compared to a driver who is stronger during an overtaking stint is key to a team’s strategy and race plan.
This grid is considered one of the strongest prototype grids in the world of motorsport. The grid consists of Cadillac, Porsche, Acura, BMW, and Aston Martin. So far in the 2026 championship, all manufacturers have been fighting closely at the front and aiming for the title.
Coming off the back of Detroit, Cadillac currently leads the championship. They’ve had a strong run of races and are aiming to continue that this weekend. Jack Aitken currently leads the drivers championship after being in form for the past handful of races, and is aiming to continue that into the endurance stint of the competition.
With it being an endurance race, more points are up for grabs, who will lead after the race?
