Qualifying earlier in the day saw Fred Green take the fastest time meaning he started Race 1 on pole and starting alongside him on the front row was championship leader, KMR Sports Alex O’Grady. The lights went green and an excellent start off the line for the Elite Motorsport of Fred Green. A slight lock up from the Douglas Motorsport of Dayton Coulthard who didn’t have the best start. It was the Pace Performance of Torrin Byrne that also had an exceptional start, making his way up to third from sixth on the opening lap.

Grant’s and Coulthard’s cars touched, leading Conor Grant completely off the track. Grant ended up in the pitlane needing the crops removed from his car. Race leader Fred Green started to lose places and slowed down on track, which gave the race lead to his championship rival Alex O’Grady. On the exit of Palmers some smoke came off of Fred Green’s car.

At the chequered flag, it was a second race win and fifth podium of the season for Alex O’Grady. Pace Performance’s Torrin Byrne took second while Douglas Motorsport’s Dayton Coulthard rounded off the podium places.
