On a warm Saturday evening at Marina Bay, Williams driver Lia Block claimed her maiden F1 Academy victory, leading from lights out to the flag, on one of motorsports' most demanding circuits.

On Saturday, Block qualified P8, which granted her the reverse-grid pole in Race 1. The lights went out; Block was forced wide by Aurelia Nobels into turn 2 but maintained the lead. At the end of lap 1, a safety car was deployed due to Nicole Havrda hitting the tyre wall. Marshals quickly cleared up the car and racing resumed on lap 3, with Block leading the safety car restart well, giving herself a gap to second place.
On lap 7, Lisa Billard experienced a technical issue and had to pull off to the side, retiring and resulting in a yellow flag. However, on the same lap, Alisha Palmowski clipped the wall, damaging her car and bringing out another safety car. Block led the second safety car restart on lap 10, with a rapid Maya Weug quickly closing the gap behind her, but Block didn't let the pressure get to her and maintained her composure.
After 14 laps, Block crossed the line seven tenths in front of Weug and Chloe Chambers, who completed the podium after finishing one second behind Block.
Block is currently 10th in the drivers' standings at 33 points, just 4 points behind Emma Felbermayr. Now all eyes are on the final round of the season as we race under the lights of Las Vegas on November 20-22.
