Alex O’Grady claimed his first victory of the 2026 season for KMR Sport at the second race at Oulton Park.

The second fastest qualifying laps determine the order of Race 2, so this saw Alex O’Grady claiming pole position, the first time in three years that the same driver hasn’t taken pole position in the first two races, O’Grady set a lap time of 1:34.400. Behind O’Grady for Race 2 was Green who just beat him for the pole position spot in the previous race. Lining up alongside them will be Enzo Hallman, Thomas Ingram-Hill and Matan Achituv who complete the top 5 for the starting order. We saw two cars get a 5-place grid penalty, first of which being John O’Donnell for re-joining the track unsafely. He will start the second race in P22. The other driver to get this grid penalty was Lily-May Watkins for causing a collision, she started the second race at the back of the grid.
O’Grady had a great start to the second race keeping the lead. Going into Cascades the cars of Dayton Coulthard and Josh McLean went off into the gravel after Coulthard’s tyres locked up which triggered a safety car. The GB4 cars spent a few laps under the safety car whilst marshals cleared debris off the track and with 12 minutes to go the race was back under green flag conditions. O’Grady led from Green and Hallman, another great start from the driver who started on pole. Further down the pack we saw Archie Bullard and Lily-May Watkins go wheel to wheel but it was Bullard who got past.

A victory for the man who started the race, O’Grady’s first victory of the 2026 season. Green finished behind him with Enzo Hallman finishing the podium positions - his third podium of the season. There have only been three drivers this season who have finished in the top 10 in all three races - Enzo Hallman, Alex O’Grady and Connor Willis.
Jon Jackson caught up with the top three after the race starting with Alex O’Grady
JJ - “Alex you said on Saturday it would be the case of more of the same on Monday and you managed to obviously convert that pole position into a win. How was it for you out there, was it how you expected?”
AO - “It was tough to be honest because we haven’t been out in a day so the track is completely different, it's probably gone nearly a second lap slower than the track so just by over steering in areas so I had to learn that as I went. Fred was on the new tyres but clearly he didn’t get the tyres to work early on so I managed to pull a gap and was in rhythm and the car was great.”
Following this, he spoke to Fred Green.
JJ - “We talked on Saturday, that you would need to make that overtake to keep that record of winning every qualifying race in tact and obviously that hasn’t happened but it is very hard to overtake here.”
FG - “Yeah it is, and to be honest we completely struggled as ourselves and the team and we didn’t quite have the pace so I think even if we were on pole we would have struggled a bit to win it. So a bit frustrating but Alex is doing a mega job, you’ve got to be on top of your game to beat him around here so yeah. I’m not too disheartened with a P2, it’s solid points it would always be nice to win but I’m going to keep racking up championship points and it’ll be alright.”
Finally, he spoke to third place finisher Enzo Hallman.
JJ - “Another podium for you, another tricky race to make much ground on the top two.”
EH - “Yeah, of course I hoped to race but I think I had a very good start and was up side by side with Green but pace felt really good and the car felt really fast but in a dirty area you can’t do much on this track. I was catching him, getting understeer and dropping back so I couldn’t do much.”
That rounds off the second race at Oulton Park with the third race taking place at 15:00 (BST).
