This weekend, the world of Formula 1 takes on the longest circuit on the calendar, bringing Formula 3 along with it. Let's have a look at the weekend.

Spa-Francorchamps is a 7.004km track hidden in the Ardennes region of Belgium. Formula 3 has been competing around Spa since 2019, when the series first began. The track consists of 19 turns and 2 DRS straights; the most famous of the turn sequences being Eau Rouge and Raidillon.

In 2024, the F3 Sprint Race winner was Dino Beganovic with Prema, with Hitech and Callum Voisin taking the Feature Race top step. Viosin also beat the existing lap record, setting a new F3 lap record of 2:04.321.
Going into this weekend, the championship is still wide open with Rafa Camara sitting on 120 points, ahead of Tim Tramnitz on 93, and Nikola Tsolov on 91. With a rough weekend at Silverstone for all 3 title contenders, expect them to bounce back in preparation for the final stretch of the 2025 F3 championship.
The team championship is much closer as we head to Spa, with Campos sitting on top with 209 points, but Trident are only 2 points behind on 207. One good or bad result for either team can stretch out the championship, or even closer if that's even possible.
The Sprint Race on Saturday will be run over a 12-lap race or 84 km, with the top 12 from qualifying reversed to set the grid. Sunday's Feature Race will be competed over 15 laps of Spa or 105 km, with full Formula 1 points on offer. The spa circuit is located in an area with very unpredictable weather for the teams to predict and perfect their cars.
The weather forecast for this weekend shows a chance of rain over the whole weekend. It is a low chance of rain currently. Though with the unique location of the track, this can change very quickly.

Hitech has also announced the inclusion of British driver Freddie Slater into their lineup who will be driving car number 15. Slater replaces Nikita Johnson who was in the car at Silverstone. Freddie has previously raced in F3 with AIX in Bahrain earlier this year and is the current FRECA championship leader with Prema racing.
