Ring Season Arrives Early: Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are set to get married

After two years of dating, tight end Travis Kelce and singer Taylor Swift are now engaged. Here’s what you need to know with regard to the breaking news.

After two years, two Super Bowl appearances, and several social media conspiracies, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and singer Taylor Swift are set to get married. 

The couple confirmed their engagement in an Instagram post released Tuesday afternoon. 

The announcement comes after the relationship between the two was made (somewhat) official when Taylor Swift attended the Kansas City Chiefs’ 2023 home game against the Chicago Bears. Confirmation that they were dating came relatively quickly after that game, with the singer consistently attending Chiefs games from that point alongside others like Donna Kelce, Travis Kelce and retired Eagles’ center Jason Kelce’s mother, and Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark. Kelce has also been seen giving his support to his now fiancée, attending many of her Era’s Tour shows and even featuring in one at Wembley Stadium.

Travis Kelce is set to enter his thirteenth season in the NFL, with all of them being played with the Kansas City Chiefs, while Taylor Swift is set to release her next album, titled The Life of a Showgirl, on October 3rd.
