Olympic Champions Sweden becomes the 1st Women’s team to qualify for the semi-finals of the Women’s Curling despite them losing to Canada 8-6 in the Group Stages.

The 2 sides came into the game with the Sweds being unbeaten in the competition so far. After a controlled start from the Canadians, Sweden took a 4-3 lead in the 5th end after Rachel Homan had missed a double takeout attempt, meaning that Anna Hasselborg had an opening 3.

But it wasnt too long until the Canadians had found themselves back in front. Following an exchange of singles in the 6th and 7th end and a triple takeout by Homan, this meant that she was able to score her team a 6-5 lead.

With a win over the Canadians win - loss record which is at 4-3 moves them in the table means that they sit joint in 2nd tied with Korea with 2 ends to play which they had won as they had beaten Korea 8-3 and then had beat China 9-4.
