What is the AFC Women’s Asian Cup?
The AFC Women’s Asian Cup is an international competition for women’s national teams belonging to the Asian Football Confederation. It is one of the oldest Asian women’s competitions, first starting in 1975.
The tournament currently has 12 teams participating, and it also serves as a qualifier for the FIFA Women’s World Cup. Since 2010, the tournament has taken place every four years.

The 2026 AFC Women’s Asian Cup will be held in Australia. Matches will be played in Sydney, Perth, and the Gold Coast. The opening match will take place in Perth, with the final being held in Sydney.
