Aston Villa FC (Villa) is a club that will go down in history, winning their first FA cup in the 1886–87 season and then later on winning the  European Cup in 1982and then becoming one of the founding members of the FA Premier League.

Aston Villa was founded in 1874 by members of  the Villa Cross Wesleyan Chapel, Handsworth, who are said to have "met under a gas light on Heathfield Road" to work on launching their team. Aston Villa was meant to be a rugby club, but it became the football team we all know and love today.

Five years later Aston Villa joined the FA club for the first time ever under the guidance of the secretary of the team George Burrell Ramsay where they began to take it seriously for the 1886-87 season. In 1886, Aston Villa won their first FA Cup which went down as a historic moment for the team. They then went on to win the FA Cup in the following years - 1895, 1897, 1905, 1913, 1920 and 1957.

In 1992, Aston Villa became a founding member of the FA Premier League where the team had an even run, losing and winning games throughout their seasons. In 2026 the team continues to play in the premier league being 4th on the table. The team has great players such as striker Ollie Watkins and 2022 World Cup winning goalkeeper, Emiliano Martínez.

With this impressive history it is only time to see where Aston Villa head next, maybe a win to get them 3rd on the table.
