Scotland v England

England’s Ellie Kildunne made her mark once again to be the opening try scorer 7 minutes in after showing her infamous speed and agility. The next try came just 5 minutes later as Red Rose's new captain scored following a line out. Kildunne decided she wanted to get England another 5 points proceeding a pass by Jones down the line. At 31 minutes Clifford joined the list of try scorers for the match ensuing a tap and go for England. Just 4 minutes later Scotland responded to England's dominance as Lloyd beat Breach and Kildunne to the ball kicked through England’s line, running to score. Sing then took a last minute first half try which made the score 7 - 35 to England into the second half.

The Red Roses continued their charge with Cokayne scoring from a driving maul along with Sarah Bern taking a double in less than 10 minutes into play. Packer was the next to score and England’s ruck speed was a key element in their success being 1.77s faster than Scotland’s. Kabeya got England to 10 tries at 74 minutes when some newer faces joined the field for England. Venner was amongst the newcomers with her 3rd cap and scored at 76 minutes meanwhile Lutui who was making her 2nd cap achieved her first try - the final of the match. This dominance from England reinstates their World Cup worthiness.

Score: 7 - 84 to England

Wales v France

Just 15 minutes into the game Brosseau and Bourdon Sansus were given yellow cards for repeat team infringements and collapsing a maul, leaving the team with just 13 players. Bourdon Sansus’ actions would then award Wales with a penalty try. Despite the setback for France they still scored with Fall Raclot by 21 minutes. Intense rugby was played with both sides having opportunities but into half time they were even at 7 - 7.

France went back to their scoring ways with Feleu picking and going over the line to score at 45 minutes. The yellow card was then shown to Crabb for head-on-head contact which did go to the bunker but remained a 10 minute suspension. France immediately capitalised on this as Lea Murie scored, beating Powell. After a strong driving maul Bourdon Sansus broke away without any Welsh contest to score. Grando was the next to score using her agility to quickly change direction, narrowly missing the outstretched hands of Wales. She went on to score again at 77 minutes when the ball got sent over to the far side making it the final try of the match.

Score: 7 - 38 to France

Ireland v Italy

Our first try came from a tap and go courtesy of Lane running through the Italian defence with ease. Italy responded with a driving maul that resulted in a try by Vecchini. Ireland mirrored the Italians attack to then get Wafer a try just 3 minutes later making it her 11th try for her country. Proceeding many attempts by the posts for Ireland they transferred the ball out to Parsons on the wing who was able to beat the French and score. Ireland used their wings to their advantage once again this time transferring the ball out to O’Connor who got her first try on her debut for the country. Parson would get another try at 30 minutes beating the French defensive efforts once more. Just 2 minutes later Ostuni Minuzzi shrugged off an Irish tackle and showed the world her speed beating Ireland in the leg race to then score. Ireland immediately got into action with Perry scoring a try pushing past the Italians into the try zone. To round out the first half Parsons got a hat trick of tries after some quick offloads by Ireland gaining them momentum moving forward, leaving the halftime score 45 - 10.

Ireland continued their dominance getting a try with Moloney-MacDonald only 2 minutes into play. Italy still fought back despite being on the back foot of the scoreboard using some quick offloads which meant Madia took a try. Next to score was Hogan for Ireland which came shortly after a driving maul making it her 4th international try. Our final try was courtesy of D’Inca in the 78th minute and the match win went to Ireland even though Italy put in a phenomenal shift on the field too.

Score: 57 - 20 to Ireland
