The Women’s Six Nations is officially halfway through its 2026 tournament. Currently, England leads the table with 10 points but will this remain as France is level on points with them?

England v Wales

The Red Roses continued their charge as Feaunati scored the first try of the match 6 minutes in after a very close chance for captain Meg Jones. Debutant Millie David scored her first try following a great pass over to the near side and a run to the line. Wales responded shortly after with a driving maul and try by Keira Bevan. England came right back at the Welsh team with their own driving maul and scored their next try with Marlie Packer. Captain Meg Jones may have initially been denied a try in the first 5 minutes but made a break through the Welsh defence and scored 27 minutes in. Another line out for Wales saw the ball played back to Kelsey Jones to score. Less than a minute of the first half left and Meg Jones made an excellent pass out to Moloney-MacDonald who shrugged off Welsh players to lay the ball off to Kildunne before making its way back to Jones to score her second try of the match and get England the bonus point.

A steady English driving maul then saw Amy Cockayne break away and power to take another try. At 51 minutes, Wales were down a player as Powell was sent to the sin bin for a deliberate knock on. England seized the opportunity and Moloney-MacDonald got her first try of the game. By 62 minutes, Jess Breach scored following a huge pass to the far side by Aitchison. Another driving maul for England 5m out from the try line saw them achieve their 9th try with Marlie Packer. Despite such a points deficit, Wales kept pushing and this saw Lewis get a try but England weren’t satisfied with the scoreboard just yet as Maud Muir got herself on the try scoring list following many rucks. Wales still had some gas in the tank and managed to see Lockwood get a try and then take the bonus point.

Score: 62 - 24 to England

Italy v Scotland

Italy started off strong with D’Incà scoring 6 minutes in and the first home try, following some speedy passes that gained them quick ground over Scotland. A driving maul soon followed for Italy, getting them to the try line and Zannette up on the scoresheet. Zannette then took back-to-back tries at 29 minutes before D’Incà did the same at 34 minutes. Just over a minute on the clock for the first half and Muzzo scored, proceeding a lineout distributed across the far side of the pitch.

Scotland were seriously struggling to defend against Italy - a complete 180 after their game against the World Champions in the Red Roses - as another Italian maul saw a try for Vecchini. At 48 minutes, Italy’s Madia received a yellow card for purposefully tripping a Scottish player. Less than a minute later, head contact was reviewed and Italy’s Captain Giordano was carded and sent to the bunker but remained as a yellow. Finally, Scotland’s efforts paid off after a driving maul saw Skeldon put the first points on the board for her country. Despite being on the back foot in terms of the number of players, Italy still scored with Duca at 60 minutes in. A quick pass between the Scottish players to Poolman saw a break past the Italians line and a quick dummy throw left Molly free to score a second try. In the end, it was Italy’s first home victory in the first game in over a decade which left Scotland heads low.

Score: 41 - 14 to Italy

France v Ireland

Barely just 2 minutes into the game, Barrat was awarded a yellow card for a deliberate knock on putting France immediately at a disadvantage. Ireland attempted to seize the opportunity however a try for Hogan was disallowed. This wasn’t dwelled on as a driving maul saw Moloney-MacDonald get a try. Once France served their yellow card they found their footing once more and got Mwayembe a try. Ireland responded by breaking through the French line and a clean offload to Tuite nearly saw her score but Grando managed to hold the ball up. Moloney-MacDonald was briefly given a second try until a TMO review confirmed a knock-on by Lane.

In the second half, Arbez made a statement in front of the French crowd, managing to evade the Irish tackles and tiptoe through the score. France came back at Ireland again, transferring the ball out to the far side enabling Grando to add 5 points to the scoreboard and get the bonus point. At 79 minutes, Champon made the final score by playing the ball over the ruck into the end zone, sealing the win for her country.

Score: 24 - 7 to France
