WANDA DIAMOND LEAGUE LAUSANNE 2025

This article covers a wrap-up of the 2025 Diamond League Lausanne held on the 19th and 20th of August. The first day saw slight rain on the men's pole vault; however, the second day of events featured intervals of heavy rain which affected all athletes.

Emmanouil Karalis - Men’s Pole Vault

On August 19th, Emmanouil Karalis from Greece took his first Diamond League win on the men’s pole vault. Despite the rain, he jumped 6.02m- making his career stat of 6m+ jumps now eleven.

Joe Kovacs from USA impressed the crowd once again on the men’s shot put with a throw of 22.04m on his 5th attempt to take the win, all despite the rain.


Henriette Jaeger - Women’s 400m

From Norway, Henriette Jaeger took the win in the women’s 400m with a time of 50.09.


Keely Hodgkinson - Women’s 800m

Keely Hodgkinson from Great Britain returned to the track by breaking the meeting record with a time of 1:55.69 to secure the win.


Tinch Cordell - Men’s 110m Hurdles

Tinch Cordell from USA took the win on the men’s 110m hurdles by clocking a time of 12.98s.


Doris Lemngole - Women’s 3000m Steeplechase

Doris Lemngole from Kenya takes the win in the women’s 3000m steeplechase by clocking a time of 9:16.36, doing it effortlessly regardless of some rain.


Brittany Brown - Women’s 200m

Brittany Brown from USA took the win in the women’s 200m, running a time of 22.23s despite the bad weather conditions. 


Isaac Kimeli - Men’s 5000m

Isaac Kimeli from Belgium takes the win in the men’s 5000m by clocking a time of 13:07.67. The Belgian long-distance runner likely prepared for the not ideal weather conditions from many years of cross-country.


Nadine Visser - Women’s 100m Hurdles

Nadine Visser from the Netherlands takes the win on women’s 100m hurdles by clocking a time of 12.45s.
