We are back! The British Touring Car Championship returns for the 2026 season. To kick off the season, we are at Donington Park,  it has been a fan favourite of the BTCC calendar. Teams arrive with new styles and new driver line up. This year we have a new team joining us, Plato Racing Team RML. They are running in the Mercedes-AMG A35 saloons with drivers, Daniel Rowbotton who was running in the NAPA car last year and Adam Morgan who was with team BMW.

There are new rules this year, with a new Saturday qualifying race, it's about 15 minutes and it will take after qualifying; the finishing order will set the grid for race 1 on Sunday. The cars run on 100% fossil-free sustainable fuel, to make it friendly for the environment. The hybrid system has been removed for the 2026 season and has been replaced with turbo boost adjustment. The reason for the hybrid season being removed was because its cost was high for the teams and it was adding complexity to the cars.

Now who is ready for the 2026 BTCC season to start?
